📣 Why Is Open Enrollment Important?
Three Wire Systems’ Annual Open Enrollment (OE) for the 2025–2026 plan year begins Monday, October 13 and ends on Sunday, October 20. This is your once-a-year opportunity to:
- Review benefit offerings
- Add or remove eligible dependents
- Enroll or make changes to your benefit elections
👉 Outside of Open Enrollment, changes are only allowed if you experience a Qualifying Life Event (such as marriage, birth/adoption, or loss of other coverage).
✅ Steps to Take Before October 20th
To ensure a smooth enrollment experience, please:
- Log in to the Boon Group Online Enrollment System using the instructions provided
- Review your Aetna plan options and benefit guides
- Submit your elections — or your completed Hard Waiver Form with proof of other coverage
- Enroll in the Opt-Out Ancillary Package if you are waiving medical
- Confirm your mailing address is current to receive your new Aetna ID card
👤 For SCA Employees
Your current Cigna Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage will end October 31, 2025. Beginning November 1, 2025, benefits will be provided through Aetna and administered by The Boon Group.
You must actively select one of the following Aetna plan options:
- Aetna PPO $1,500 Plan
- Aetna PPO HSA $2,500 Plan
- Aetna Fixed Indemnity Plan (default if no valid waiver submitted)
- Opt-Out Ancillary Package (required if waiving medical with approved Hard Waiver)
📬 You will receive a new Aetna ID card if enrolled in medical.
🧾 Other Benefits for SCA Employees
- Group Life & Disability: Remain with Unum – current coverage will roll over
- Voluntary Benefits: Accident, Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity – continue with Unum
- FSA: Remains with ABG – re-election required each year
- HSA: Available with PPO HSA Plan – employee-funded; election required
❗ Waiving Medical Coverage
To waive Aetna medical coverage, you must submit:
- A completed Hard Waiver Form
- Proof of other creditable group coverage, such as:
- A copy of your insurance ID card (with effective date), or
- A letter from your plan sponsor confirming active coverage and start date
🧾 If your waiver is approved, you must still enroll in the Opt-Out Ancillary Package, which includes:
- $10,000 Term Life Insurance
- Telehealth Services
